I'd like @cheftako or @jkh52 to take a look, just in case, as this is a bigger version jump.

I've tested it locally in a setup with konnectivity and a smoke test of getting logs via the proxy works fine.

The pull-kubernetes-e2e-gce-network-proxy-grpc failure looks like an unrelated storage test flake.
